Episode 7
Whitefish & Walleyes in Door County
Show Date: February 11th & 12th, 2017
Location: Sand Bay Beach Resort - Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin
Guide: Pro Guide Dale Stroschein [ 920-743-5731 | wackywalleye.com]

We’re in Door County, staying at our favorite place, Sand Bay Beach Resort.  Dale Stroschein and his entire Wacky Walleye team are ready to find our entire crew fish.

We’re up for Wacky Walleye Guide Service’s annual “Gillespie Outing.”  It’s always a great time - the people that join us always make it great.  Experienced anglers, along with some first-timers really show the range of Dales guide service and staff.  We love to see people catch fish, and at some points, John didn’t have any time to fish, because he was traveling from angler to angler to host the show while they reeled them in.

As always, we fill up on whitefish during the day, and reserve the mornings and evenings for walleyes.  Dale tells us that it isn’t a numbers type of bite this time of year, but if you catch one, it could easily be a personal best.

It’s a great trip, and you could join us next year, just give Dale a call.

Episode 8
Panfish Bonanza on Lake Winnebago
Show Date: February 18th & 19th, 2017
Location: Lake Winnebago, Oshkosh, WI

What a day we had on Lake Winnebago!  It was a beautiful mid-February day, and we were fortunate to be with a great group of guys.  This group knows Winnebago inside out, many of them fishing it since they were kids.  A big advantage that they have, which may sound simple, is mobility.  These guys all have everything they need on their snowmobiles, no shacks, no sleds, nothing to stop them from moving spots within a moments notice.  With many of the anglers on Winnebago getting to their spot with a truck, they are limited on the spots they can get to, or at least slowed down when they want to move.  Our crew moves a lot, sometimes just a short distance, but they keep moving to find and stay on fish.

We are using Kastmasters, Hyper-Glides, and Jigging Raps, and a few anglers are tipping their lures with wax worms.  We need to entice the fish to leave the pack at the bottom, once you’ve got them going up, keep the lure above them and jig the lure lightly, and keep rising up.

We catch crappie and white bass just about all day! Thanks to all the guys that found the fish!

Episode 9
Waukesha County Panfishing
Show Date: February 25th &26th, 2017
Location: Waukesha County, Wisconsin

There are a lot of great places to fish near the Milwaukee area, and this week we’re on one of those lakes in the neighboring county to the west, Waukesha County.  We are out with a group of ice fishing buddies that we’ve fished with for many years.  Matt Bichanich from Hard & Soft fishing is our guide, and Kurt Kellogg joins us as well to set Beaver Dam Tip-Ups for pike and walleye.

We are fishing a crystal clear water lake, and the day we were fishing it was very foggy out.  Matt tells us that the low light conditions may help because the water is so clear.  We’re using small Clam tungsten jigs, as well as small Kastmasters to get the bluegill to bite, as well as setting Beaver Dams for pike and walleye.
